Multi Agency Escalation Policy and Procedure (Salford Safeguarding Adults Board)

The purpose of the Multi Agency Escalation Procedure is to create a transparent process for dealing with professional disagreements between partner agencies with regards to practice in relation to an adult. Disagreements should be resolved through a person-centred discussion between the relevant agencies.  The escalation procedure outlines the process to be followed when professionals are unable to agree about what is in the best interests of the adult whilst managing risks/concern and ensuring the voice of the adult remains heard.
